A Little History
Founded in 1853, Fulton County, Georgia, is named after Hamilton Fulton, a railroad official who acted as chief engineer of the state. He developed connection solutions that provided transportation from Milledgeville to Chattanooga, Tennessee, by way of the Western and Atlantic Railroads. This industrial advancement boosted the county’s prominence as a major transportation hub, and, as a result, Fulton County saw rapid growth in population, industry, business, and transportation.
